Donald has been an Empower customer in North Carolina since June 2021. In the past year he has referred over 50 riders and been liked by over 100.
Always the entrepreneur, Donald created business cards advertising Empower and hands them out to every Uber and Lyft rider he encounters. Donald is passionate about helping Empower grow and spreading the word about how Empower benefits both drivers and riders.
Below, Donald has shared his tips for success with respect to building his ride-hail business with the support of Empower.
Q: How are you able to refer so many riders?
A: I had business cards made. I give them out everywhere that I go.
Q: What are some of the tactics you use when talking to riders about trying Empower?
A: I mainly explain to them why booking rides through Empower, where the driver sets their own rates and gets 100% of the fare, results in less expensive rides for them than rides provided by Uber or Lyft.
Q: How has referring so many riders helped you financially?
A: The more riders that I refer, the more income I generate. Through Empower’s referral program, I earn an extra $5 cash for every rider I refer. And the more riders using Empower, the more ride requests where drivers get 100% of the fare.
Q: What suggestions do you have for anyone who wants to help Empower grow?
A: Spread the word and tell everybody you know about Empower and how riders can save money while helping drivers. Also use your promo code to receive additional ride credit when referring friends and other drivers.
