New Empower DC subscription plans available for the holidays! 

We’re excited to share that Empower’s new subscription options are now available for DC drivers. If you haven’t already done so, please be sure to download the latest version of the driver app from the App or Play Store (version 1.8.1 for iOS; version 1.9.1 for Android).
As a result of these new options, at the end of your current subscription period, DC drivers will be prompted to reselect a subscription plan. You will have your choice of the Empower Monthly Flex, Empower Monthly Platinum and Empower Daily plans. If you wish to change your plan prior to the end of your current period, you can do so online through your My Driver Account.
If you missed our prior email announcing these plans, the Empower Monthly Flex is a new pay-as-you-go subscription plan with flexible pricing starting at just $49.99/month! With Empower Monthly Flex, a driver’s monthly subscription fee is based on usage, and subscription payments are made in $50 installments, instead of all upfront! For example, if you earn $250 in fares during your monthly subscription period, you’ll pay only $49.99. If you drive a bit more and earn $500, you’ll pay just $99.99. With Empower Monthly Flex, any driver currently earning less than $1,400/month will save at least $50/month over the current monthly subscription price. And if you’re a full-time driver, but prefer to pay your monthly subscription fee in installments instead of all upfront, you can still earn an unlimited amount with an Empower Monthly Flex subscription! As you can see, the Empower Monthly Flex plan is a great option for part-time drivers, as well as full-time drivers looking for greater payment flexibility. Below, please find complete pricing for the Empower Monthly Flex plan.
  • $49.99 for earnings up to $250.00 (Uber would take ~$100.00)
  • $99.99 for earnings up to $500.00 (Uber would take ~$200.00)
  • $149.99 for earnings up to $900.00 (Uber would take ~$360.00)
  • $199.99 for earnings up to $1,400.00 (Uber would take ~$560.00)
  • $249.99 for earnings up to $2,000.00 (Uber would take ~$800.00)
  • $299.99 for earnings up to $2,500.00 (Uber would take ~$1,000.00)
  • $349.99 for earnings up to $3,000.00 (Uber would take ~$1,200.00)
  • $399.99 for earnings up to $3,500.00 (Uber would take ~$1,400.00)
  • $449.99 for unlimited earnings (If you earned $7,500.00, Uber would take $3,000.00)
If you’re a full-time, or near full-time driver, who loves the simplicity of our existing prepaid monthly subscription plan, the new Empower Monthly Platinum plan, which is replacing the current standard monthly plan, is a great choice. Empower Monthly Platinum includes higher Instant Payout limits, $150 car mess reimbursement, dedicated Platinum Team support, exclusive Platinum Earnings Guarantees, VIP access to all Empower virtual and in-person events, guaranteed representation on Empower’s new Driver Advisory Council, and additional Platinum Member benefits! The Empower Monthly Platinum plan will be priced at $349.99, so by selecting the Platinum plan, Drivers who earn over $3,000/month will also save $50-$100 per month! All current active DC Monthly subscribers will automatically be upgraded to the Empower Monthly Platinum Plan at no extra cost for the remainder of their current subscription period. (As noted above, you will be prompted at the end of your current subscription period to reselect a subscription plan.)
Finally, Empower will continue to offer the Empower DC Daily plan, which will be priced at $24.99 effective tomorrow.

As a reminder, Empower will soon be introducing a new Customer Loyalty Rewards Program that all subscribers will be automatically enrolled in free of charge. Be on the lookout for details next month!

 

We’re super excited about these changes and hope that you are as well. We believe that these new offerings will help ensure that drivers have the cash they need, when they need it, and that non-full-time drivers are able to continue to use Empower and make a lot more money driving for themselves than they do driving for Uber or Lyft.
